Inba marsh today.
Though the weather is bad, it seems good for the bass fishing.

278. Gama (cattail)
Found out the place where gama thrives. Looks like they well grow in abandoned rice fields.

The line in the nursery song of Daikoku-sama,- - coat with gama ear fluff - - seems to refer to the fluff appearing when these ears wither.

277. Kuzu (kudzu)
Flower of kuzu at the entrance to a nearby bicycle track.
Though this is said to be one of the seven flowers of autumn, I feel it lacks something elegant expected in that wording.

At this time of year, it grows so rampant that we can't go foward depending on the track location.

The one transplaned to the U.S. from Japan (locally called kudzu) has been giving heavy damages to the forest there.

274. Asagao
Asagao (morning glory) which finally bloomed yesterday. This one sprouts from the seeds fallen on the ground by waiting until July and starts blooming around this time.

After being impressed by its simple flower at a nearby grass field, we brought back its seeds a few years ago. At our home, we call this an ancestor asagao with no academic checking.

273. Love playing outside
The weather of this summer is too hard for dogs.

Yet, Jiro loves playing outside. He is quiet indoors for 1 hour or so, then pesters us to let him go out.

After being outside about 5 minuntes, he signals to return indoors by barking once, apologetically in a small voice.
